deciphering ammo pouch markings

The markings on the right of the pouch indicates the saddlery where the pouches were made and the number indicates the year it's produced.this one's from year 1908

The marking on the left, cross stamp with letter is the marking of the inspectors initial.

swiss ammunition pouches stgw57 and k31's

STGW57 are single magazine pouches used for a M57 automatic rifle and they were temporary issue during the sixties, the Swiss have a militia army and at that time of introduction of the new rifle the problem was that the Swiss soldiers with and old gray uniform had no pockets big enough to put those 24 round magazines in so they were issued the pouches instead, new recruits got combat suits with special chest pockets to take the magazine.

k31 swiss ammunition double magazine pouches were designed for use with the Schmidt Rubin Models 1911 and K31 rifles.
